We took a scenic byway that took us through the badlands. Rising up and jetting down in every direction and bathed in golden light from the setting sun they took my breath away.
Sharp craggy rocks and smoothly sloping mounds in every direction. We took our time, looking at prairie dogs and listening to the songbirds.
