Our Labor Day adventure consisted of a road trip to Denali National Park and a 11 hour shuttle to Wonder Lake. The autumn colors were spectacular!
I love the muted fall pastels in this shot.
For the first day and a half of our trip it rained the whole time so we were really afraid that it would rain during our stay in the park, but we were so blessed with dramatic clouds and blue skies!
Pete couldn't resist borrowing my new K-5 and playing with the 35 mm Macro lens. This combination is amazing!
Me and my adorable bug-eyed husband!
Getting a head start on the fast one.
Gold.
We were accompanied on this trip by our friends, Asa and Julia, both armed with Nikons and bear protection.
The colors were amazing. *sigh*
Our short, 1 mile hike from the bus to the lake. Nice chance to stretch our legs after 5 hours sitting down.
Posing in front of Wonder Lake.
Trying to smile into the sun.
Close ups.
Julia and I, Denali is somewhat to the right of the picture.

And finally, Denali.
So grateful for access to such an amazing location, beautiful weather and great friends to spend the weekend with!
