In honor of our 3rd anniversary, my birthday and Hallmark's upcoming Valentine's day Pete reserved us some luxury accommodations in resort town, Girdwood. The attraction for us was not the notable ski resort, though we did stay at the hotel but rather the delicious FOOD. Yes, the food. Yumm. We ate at the cash only Bake Shop, the hotel room service (good pizza!) and a new place, for us, Jack Spratt.
Turkey melt.
Baked Alyeska.
Please note, Pete couldn't wait for the picture to be taken, thus the hole in the side of the lovely dessert.
Then this last weekend we took advantage of a bright winter day and went skiing for only the 2nd time this year.
Lovely view of Downtown Anchorage from near Point Woronzof.
I couldn't get Pete to stay out of the picture!
Then, for a final hurrah, we met these lovely people and dear friends, the Belardes at the Spenard Roadhouse for more delicious food.
Here's us.
And here's some delicious food. Chicken Thai Curry, and once again, notice, Pete could not wait until I took the picture before diving in.
Asa wouldn't wait until her picture was taken either. Men.
This is the amazing Chocolate Lava Cake. Do you want to know what the red stuff on top is? Yeah? Ok........wait for it........
Pop Rocks.......
Yep!
It was AWESOME!
Julia and me! Cheers!
That looks fun.
