Wednesday night we glanced at our backyard to find it populated with a momma moose and her two adorable babies! They have been hanging out ever since. They spend their days wading in the shallow pond, munching on anything green or otherwise and taking long sun-bathed naps.
The babies were still pretty wobbly and kept tripping and laying down to rest!
They watched us for a little while and then decided that we weren't very interesting
Oh no! Someone has wondered away! (look at momma's tongue!)
There he is! In a minute he falls down, right over the cinder block! I was going to post a picture but he looks really weird in it so I'll save him the embarrassment!
After a while they wandered up to the house next door and sniffed around in the pile of gravel. Then they found a nice grassy spot to bed down and slept the night away.
Pete got a couple shots the next morning during breakfast!
