Taking a breather from Christmas baking, Pete and I took a walk around our neighborhood and stopped in a local grocery store for a warm drink and a bite to eat.
We crossed the train tracks that run behind our apartment.
Walked through the neighborhood.
Down to West Chester Lagoon.
Watched the water rush out from under the ice toward the inlet.

Admired the skill of the ice skaters, both young and old.
And enjoyed a hot mocha and roast beast panini.
Delicious!
