On Sunday we took a road trip down to Girdwood for a short hike.
Virgin Falls is at the end of an unmarked road. A short hike in and we got swallowed up by a sunlit, moist rain forest like wilderness. Mosses, mushrooms, and lichens abound all around on trees, dead wood, even on the wet rock faces.
Our footsteps were muffled on the soft springy ground.
A pretty leaf, trimmed with an unexpected fall color.
Creepy growing thing.
I was blessed to catch the sunshine coming through these little drops of water.
We followed the trail higher to get more shots of the falls.
Your photography is incredible, Monika!
ReplyDeleteIt's not hard, when I had such a beautiful environment! This was such a special little nook! Thank you :-)
