After Dad and Pete's adventure, Dad went out to cut kindling.......
Pete took a nap. I think Dad wore him out!
Over the 3 days that we were there we watched as the tide went in and out.
We could see starfish and other little sea life on the beach. All of the white things in the water are empty shells. Courtesy of "Ollie" the otter!
The next morning we explored our shoreline.
Barnacles.
A couple treasures.
Then, not to waste daylight, the guys decided to try their luck at fishing again.
The back entrance of the cabin. The 'facilities' are directly to the right.
While we waited for the guys to come back from fishing, Mom and I explored.
"Lloyd" came in to check out my bear spray.
He thought I wasn't looking!
Yummy dinner sizzling on the wood stove!
Too soon it was time to pack up and wait for the water taxi to come get us.
We staged our gear down the stairs from the cabin.
We were beginning to think that Captain Tom had forgotten about us and that we would have to live in Halibut Cove forever. Then we saw him come around the bend and up the channel!
He brought a little friend named "Tugger."
Tugger was very fond of Dad and thought that he and Dad should stay at the cabin.
But Dad didn't agree and brought him back.
As we pulled away the next cabin tenants pulled in!
